Are you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed ?

counselling teddington #01At times many of us find aspects of our lives overwhelming. Sometimes this may be because we feel unable to cope, depressed, anxious, alone, or simply face some difficulty we cannot see our way out of.

Counselling therapy can assist by offering you the appropriate tools and skills necessary to take control of these many challenges that stand in the way of leading a more rewarding, happy and fulfilling life.

I am a Teddington based integrative counsellor and psychotherapist serving the needs of individuals in the boroughs of Richmond and Kingston Upon Thames.

I aim to provide a therapeutic environment that helps you discover and bring to life more of your potential - in yourself, your relationships and your world.
If you are seeking a counsellor to help with personal or relationship problems in a caring and confidential environment and would like to find out more about how counselling therapy may help you, please use the contact page to request additional information or to set up an appointment.

Some of the reasons why an individual may seek counselling therapy can include anxiety, depression, problems with relationships, work, family or stepfamilies, substance abuse, loss, separation, divorce and stress.

If you are depressed, recognising the problem is the first, yet hardest step. Depression isn’t always sadness. It can show up in lots of different ways such as anger, fear, pain, fatigue, anxiety, loss of confidence, or decreased sleep/appetite, just to name a few symptoms.

The causes of depression can be varied. Some of us seem to be more vulnerable to depression than others. This may be because of our genes, because of experiences early in our life, or both.

Sometimes it is hard to express your real feelings, even to close friends. Talking things through with a trained counsellor or therapist can be easier. It can be a relief to get things off your chest and it can help you to be clearer about how you feel about your life and other people.

Together with my private practice, I also work as a counselling therapist for various support agencies in both Richmond and Kingston Upon Thames. This work forms an integral aspect of my continuing educational experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist.

You might have one or many reasons to seek therapy: change a repetitive behaviour; work through an emotional issue; improve, end, or find a new relationship; or become more successful in life, I invite you to call me.

I am a member of the UPCA and abide by the code of ethics as advocated by the UKCP.
